What are you reading?

This is a weekly meme hosted by One Person's Journey Through A World Of Books. It’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I haven´t really done much reading lately :( And I wish I had read much more. Hopefully I will in the summer time. :) Just have to get in a better mood. I´ve been kind of crappy lately, and I have no clue why. But hopefully soon I will be on top again :)

What I read last week

What I am currently reading

What I am planning to read

I am also reading some other books. Though they are not Fantasy related. So I will not be reviewing them here.
- Rottekongen by Einar A. Lund (a Norwegian childrens book, I got for reviewing)
- Seduce Me by Anne Rainey (an erotic romance book)

Though I have only started Wherever you Go, so I am not reading it all the time. I am reading it, when I am on travel :)
And as you can see on my blog I was planning to read Rogue by Rachel Vincent. Though I never got the time to it :( I need to get to it soon. But at the same time my summer was planning to be a re-reading summer, and that´s why I am starting Harry Potter series again. But hopefully also read a lot of other books :)

Btw. I am starting with the Harry Potter series, since it got the most votes in my poll. Of which series to start reading first :) Thanks everyone for voting and helping me out :)

What have you read? And what are you planning to read??

On my wishlist

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where I list all the books I desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It's also an event that you can join in with too - Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own 'On My Wishlist' post. If you want to know more click HERE.
Here is my weeks wishlist :)

This week I wish for a sequel and a number 1 in another series.
Gone by Michael Grant.
Which I have been looking for everytime I go to the book store.
Though I think it is to expensive here in Norway.

The second book is the sequel to Shiver.
Which I just finished reading.
Linger by Maggie Stiefvater
Which I really have to read, since the first book was just adorable :)

And last but not least I have a norwegian book on my wishlist.
A YA book with half gods and godesess.
Halvgudene by Mari Moen Holsve
Which I think look very interesting. And I really wanna buy it. But again. Books in Norway are not cheap :(

So this was my wishlist lately. What do you wish for?? :)
And what did you think of my list :)

Review: Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

The Book:
This is the first book of Maggie Stiefvaters trilogy The Wolves of Mercy Falls.
The first book was released in 2009. The second book Linger in 2010. And the third book Forever is going to be released in July 2011.

ISBN13: 9780545123266
392 pages

Read: May 2011
Language: English

Summary: (from Goodreads)
the cold.
Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—watches back. He feels deeply familiar to her, but she doesn't know why.

the heat.
Sam has lived two lives. As a wolf, he keeps the silent company of the girl he loves. And then, for a short time each year, he is human, never daring to talk to Grace...until now.
the shiver.
For Grace and Sam, love has always been kept at a distance. But once it's spoken, it cannot be denied. Sam must fight to stay human—and Grace must fight to keep him—even if it means taking on the scars of the past, the fragility of the present, and the impossibility of the future.

The Story:
Grace was attacked by a pack of wolves when she was a little girl. But was saved by one of them. While she is growing up she feels a special bond to one of the wolves. Who often watches here and keeps an eye on her.
One day she meets this wonderful boy, but feels like they have known eachother forever. And they fall in love. Though there are many questions and mysteries who are left unsolved. Will they figure it out and find the solution?

My Opinion:
This is the cutest love story I have read in ages. Or maybe ever :)
There is not really any action and so on, as there normally is in paranormal books.
But it doesn´t have too. This is the cutest most adorable love story anyway :D
So I decided to give it a 5 out of 6 stars.
Since I more then once was sitting and awwwing of the story. Because it was just adorable. They are so cute together :) And Sam has a charm who could melt any girls heart :P
So If your looking for a cozy read :) This is it :)

I so have to read the second book :) To find out how everything will go with the cute couple and the whole wolfie thing :)

Update: April month

How was April?

Well other then I have been really bad at blogging last month. And for not talking about. Really late out with my april wrap up monthly update xD Since we are already almost halfway into May.
But anyway.
I got a lot of books read though :)
Normally I make a video as an update. But I don´t got time for it. Since my brother is turning 18 :) So I am leaving in the middle of the night, so I can be in his party tomorrow.
I live in Norway and he lives in Denmark, so It´s kind of a long trip, for a birthday :) But he means the world to me <3
So since I don´t got time for making a videolog, I will just mention the books.

I got to read:
Nightshade by Andrea Cremer - 5 out of 6 stars
Sleeping Beauty:Vampire Slayer by Maureen McGowan - 5 out of 6 stars
Cinderella:Ninja Warrior by Maureen McGowan - 5 out of 6 stars
Divine by Blood by P.C Cast - 5 out of 6 stars
The Twisted Tale of Stormy Gale by Christine Bell - 5 out of 6 stars

So as you can see I had a pretty good month :D With all 5 star books.

Other then these books I have also read other books, though only reviewed them on my Norwegian blog, since they are not Fantasy related :)
But may as well show you guys my ratings ;)
Elephant Talk by Ann Downer - 5 out of 6 stars (a book about elephant communication)
Twilight Graphic novel vol. 1 by Stephenie Meyer - 4 out of 6 stars

Favorite: My favorite this month must be Nightshade :) Loved it :)

Next month looking forward too: Paranormalcy and Shiver

So what did you read during the last month? And what was your favorite.?
And what are you mostly looking forward to read in may?

Read: April 2011
Language: Norwegian

Summary: (from Goodreads)
Conceived in a lie and trapped in a tree throughout her gestation, Morrigan's birth was truly magical. After that start, she spent the next eighteen years raised as a normal girl in Oklahoma.

Upon discovering the truth of her heritage, her rage and grief take on a power of their own, carrying her back to the world of Partholon. Yet, instead of being respected as the daughter of the Goddess Incarnate, Morrigan feels like a shunned outsider.

In her desperation to belong to Partholon, she confronts forces she can't fully understand or control. And soon a strange darkness draws closer…

The Story:
This story is mostly about Rhiannons daughter Morrigan. Who finds about her heritage. That her mother once was high priestess for a goddess in another world.
But things get complicated when you find out that everything you knew about yourself and your life, shows up to be one big lie. So who is she really? And what is she suppose to do with her life?
Will she find all her answers in the other world.?
KoblingMy Opinion:
I liked this book, it was great entertainment. Though I didn`t like it as much as the first one. There wasn`t that much humor in this one, but still the story was ok.
I like the little romance parts and the whole to worlds, so different, but with same people. If you read the books, you understand what I mean :P Like the idea and the story.
So I gave this book a 5 out of 6 stars :)

It kept me entertained the whole way. And looking forward to read the rest of the series :) Just hope they will translate them to norwegian. Since I have read this series in norwegian so far. :)

"Hon, you and I both know he wasn`t in the woods."
I raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to say something else,

I was pretty confident it was no accident.

Review: Nightshade by Andrea Cremer

Nightshade by Andrea Cremer

The Book:
This is the first book in a trilogy called the same as the book, Nightshade. This book was released October 2010. The sequel will be called Wolfsbane and are being released 26th July 2011. But many bloggers out there already got an ARC of this book. And it´s spoken about it on like every blog out there :P So it tells you how great the first book must be :)

ISBN13: 9780399254826
452 pages

Read: April 2011
Language: Danish

Summary: (from Goodreads)
Calla Tor has always known her destiny: After graduating from the Mountain School, she'll be the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the Keepers.

But when she violates her masters' laws by saving a beautiful human boy out for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she might lose everything— including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?

The Story:
This book has a teenage girl as main character, though not an ordinary girl. This girl is an alpha wolf, of her pack. So not enough she has to handle all the wolf things, like marriage to the alpha male, hunting etc. The teenage way of life, with boys, friends, partying etc. But she has to handle both worlds at once. Which isn´t always easy. When you are not let in on all the secrets going on behind your back.. While she figure out who she is, or is she just the girl the pack says she is and made her to be. Who will she choose?

My Opinion:
I loved this book. At first I didn´t really know. But I really got to love the book. And the whole story. There are like in many other books a romance triangle drama. Which never goes wrong :P If you ask me xD Though I will not get into who I liked more then others :P Since there probably are still people out there who haven´t read it yet.

I chose to give this one a 5 out of 6 stars :)
The reason it didn´t get 6 stars is because the main character was for me a little disappointing. She didn´t really grew as much as she should have done with her experience. And she was a bit to selfcentered for my taste. Though it didn´t ruin the rest of the book :P I am super excited about the sequel. Because I have to know what will happen next :)
