Quote: Hunger Games

In this meme I will share with you some of my favorite moments in the book. When I read it :)
Moments were I thought. This I have to write down so I can remember :)

Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

“I'm coming back into focus when Caesar asks him if he has a girlfriend back home. Peeta hesitates, then gives an unconvincing shake of his head.

Handsome lad like you. There must be some special girl. Come on, what’s her name?" says Caesar.

Peeta sighs. "Well, there is this one girl. I’ve had a crush on her ever since I can remember. But I’m pretty sure she didn’t know I was alive until the reaping."

Sounds of sympathy from the crowd. Unrequited love they can relate to.

She have another fellow?" asks Caesar.

I don’t know, but a lot of boys like her," says Peeta.

So, here’s what you do. You win, you go home. She can’t turn you down then, eh?" says Caesar encouraging-ly.

I don’t think it’s going to work out. Winning...won’t help in my case," says Peeta.

Why ever not?" says Caesar, mystified.

Peeta blushes beet red and stammers out. "Because...because...she came here with me.”

This is one of my favourite parts in the book :) So sweet :)
Though it is not really a quote. It still deserved a blog post xD haha

Do you got some other quotes from this book you loved. Feel free to share :D

Review: Passion by Lauren Kate

Passion by Lauren Kate

The Book:
This is the third book in the Fallen series written by Lauren Kate.
The first book was called Fallen (2009) and the second book Torment (2010)
The last book for the series is going to be called Rapture and is expected released June 2012.

420 pages
ISBN13: 9780385739160

Read: August 2011
Language: English

Summary: (From Goodreads)
Luce would die for Daniel.

And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way. . . .

Luce is certain that something—or someone—in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime . . . going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel . . . and finally unlock the key to making their love last.

Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history.

Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames . . . forever.

Sweeping across centuries, PASSION is the third novel in the unforgettably epic FALLEN series.

The Story:

In the third book of the series we continue to follow Lucy on her trip to solving the mystery.
What is the story behind her and Daniel contiouesly falling in love with each other. And why does she have to die everytime. Can she find the answer. And can she stop herself from dying again.
Will Lucy and Daniel ever have their happy ending?

My Opinion:
To be honest I was not really fond of this book. I lost track, because we were in so many time differences. I normally enjoy time travelling books. But I felt like it got confusing and even though she met so many of her earlier self, she didn`t get as many answers as I was counting on.
There was mostly only Lucy in this book, and not much of the romance that we have seen in the previews books.
Though I chose to give the book 3,5 out of 6 stars

Because I like the whole story and all in all I liked the previews books. And I am still curious on finding out more and see if they can find a solution to their mystery.

What I am reading

This is a weekly meme hosted by One Person's Journey Through A World Of Books. It’s Monday! What Are You Reading, is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.

I also have to finish my audiobook The Lost Voices by Sarah Porter. Which I only listen to sometimes. :) There for it goes a bit slow.
I also have a lot of Netgalley books. But no idea if I will get the time to read them :( Since I work all the time, and don´t have the energy to read ebook all the time. But we will have to see :)

Have you read any of these?? What did you think??

Read: September 2011
Language: English

Summary: (From Goodreads)
With Pandemic ravaging the globe, Olivya's psychic Sight compels her to see auras riddled with the colors of despair, and now her mother is infected.

Olivya’s only hope is the mysterious Mikah, a powerful Empath who claims the Pandemic is linked to his clan, the Kindred, and their brooding, monstrous, Immortal Lord. But can she trust this boy who can manipulate her very emotions?

With Mikah's aid, Olivya races to unearth Kindred secrets, desperate to find a cure, only to discover the Pandemic is far, far more than a mere disease . . .

The Story:
The Story follows two different, but still two very a like young characters. Mikah and Olyvia.
They live in a world so different from our own, in the year of 2032.
Technology is everything and one day, it all breaks down.
At the same time an epidemic is ruining the world, a sickness with the name cancer. But what if it´s not a sickness, but something else? But what?? How can they survive and what will happen with the world.

My Opinion:
All in all I really liked the book.
It was full of action and mystery. You had to keep on reading to find out what was really going on.
Which can both be positive and negative. Good that you have to find out all these new things during the story. But bad when you get a bit lost because there are somethings you can´t really figure out.
I really liked the book because it had an really amazing world, which must come from some amazing brains. Everything is different, from our own world. But you can still imagine, what our world could become. And that´s what is fascinated. And the twist with the cancer made me keeping on reading. The characters grow a lot in the book, and you want to keep on reading to find out what will happen to them, how they will survive. And not to forget the romance. Will they get together :)
But unfortunately I got a little lost in the middle of the book. Because there where just to many new detailes and names. But probably a bit my own fault. Since I was a bit sleepy while reading :(
But I chose giving the book 4,5-5 out of 6 stars

Since the story captured me. And the action and characters captivated me :) Though the language was a bit difficult some times. I recommend this book. Though it probably wont fit a person who is new to English. Since the language is a bit advanced :)
