Update: I am busy

Hi guys..

Just wanna let you know why I am not here as much as before..
I haven´t had the time, since I work a lot a lot.. On my new work. And when I finally has free I am at my dad´s place. Which makes it difficult, since some of my books are at my dads place and others at my own place.
And I have many of them still in boxes.

But soon that will change. Though I haven´t had time to it now. Since there have just been an vacation.. And my family from Denmark has been here to visit me. And I haven´t seen them since Christmas.. And the next time I will see them is in April. So that´s really weird, since I am used to see them like all the time.
Well. Thats why I haven´t been blogging lately, and the recent I will be a little gone in the future. Is that I am now an aunt. And I am cross stitching a picture for my nephew. Which I am giving him a a gift in april. But I am far from finished. And everybody keeps saying I will not make it. So I have to prove them wrong. and really take a grip and stitch as a maniac. And that has to mean I need to sacrifice my reading. So that´s why I am not that much updated.. But I will come back soon.
Probably sooner then later since I am hooked at the blogging world..xD
Wish you all great reading times. And hope that you will return to my blogg, when I return ;)

Sweep - The Book of Shadows

by Cate Tiernan

About the book:
This is the first book of a series called Sweep written by Cate Tiernan. And there are 15 books at all. Right now they are getting published again, where there are 3 books put into one.

The other books are called:
2. The Coven
3. Blood Witch
4. Dark Magick
5. Awakening

6. Spellbound
7. The Calling
8. Changeling
9. Strife
10. Seeker
11. Origins
12. Eclipse
13. Reckoning
14. Full Circle
15. Night´s Child

ISBN13: 9780142409862
176 pages

Read: February 2011
Language: English

From Goodreads:

Morgan thinks witchcraft is laughable when her best friend Bree drags her to a meeting of the Cirrus Coven. But during a ceremony led by Cal, Morgan's long-time crush, Morgan feels a shock. Suddenly everything looks brighter, clearer. Morgan doesn't want to get involved with witchcraft-but she feels like witchcraft is choosing her.

The Story:
This book is about Morgans daily life. A new boy starts to go on her school. He is mystic and nice to everyone. They become friends and he introduces her to Wicca. A religion for witches.
But this creates some problems for Morgan, since her family is very religious, christians (I think it was). So how does she find a solution to the problem. When she feels that she has a special call for Wicca.
Other then her new identity creation in religion, there are also other teenage related issues in this story. As frindproblems, jalousi, boyfriends etc. Which we all kn

ow from the real life.

My Opinion and Conclusion:
This book disappointed me a bit. Since nothing really happened. Other then you followed her daily life. And that just wasn´t good enough for me. But if your just looking for some entertainment and to live as someone else for a little while, you would probably like this book.

Though this book soothes someone a little younger then me :P Since the main character is only 13 years.

But all in all I have decided to give it only 2 stars out of 6. Since I didn´t get that much out of it myself.

Though I have seen a lot of great reviews on goodreads an other blogs. So this was probably not the book for me. But for someone else :P

Review: Knife by R.J Anderson

Knife by R.J Anderson

About the book:
This is the first book of a series called Faery Rebel written by R.J Anderson. My first book was called Knife, but you can also find it by the title Spell Hunter.

The second book is called either Rebel or Wayfarer. And the third book Arrow.
The fourth book of this series is sat to be published in 2012 and will probably be named Swift.

ISBN13: 9780061554742
327 pages

Read: February 2011
Language: English

From Goodreads:
Forget everything you think you know about faeries. . . .

Creatures full of magic and whimsy?

Not in the Oakenwyld. Not anymore.

Deep inside the great Oak lies a dying faery realm, bursting with secrets instead of magic. Long ago the faeries mysteriously lost their magic. Robbed of their powers, they have become selfish and dull-witted. Now their numbers are dwindling and their very survival is at stake.

Only one young faery—Knife—is determined to find out where her people's magic has gone and try to get it back. Unlike her sisters, Knife is fierce and independent. She's not afraid of anything—not the vicious crows, the strict Faery Queen, or the fascinating humans living nearby. But when Knife disobeys the Faery Queen and befriends a human named Paul, her quest becomes more dangerous than she realizes. Can Knife trust Paul to help, or has she brought the faeries even closer to the brink of destruction?

Talented newcomer R. J. Anderson creates an extraordinary new fantasy world and weaves a gripping tale of lost magic, high adventure, and surprising friendship in which the fate of an entire realm rests on the shoulders of one brave faery rebel.

The Story:
This book is about a little fairy who lives in a fairy community. But despite what all the other fairies have told her about the outside and the human. This one is a dreaming, adventures looking fairy. She wants to go out side to explore the world and be free, but still she wants to some how follow the fairy rules of the Oak.
Knife becomes the Oaks new Hunter, which makes her allowed to fly out of the Oak. And she do this a lot. Because it´s everything she has ever dreamed about. But what happens when she one day get caught by a human being. How will she get back and what will the human do to her and her community.

And whats up with all the rules of the Oak. It hasn´t always been like that, but why did it become like this. And how can the Oak return to its great community, as it once was. Can Knife be able to find a cure and bring back the magic to the other Fairies.

My Opinion and My Conclusion:
I had really high expectations for this book. Which they didn´t full fill 100%. But it was close. All in all I liked the book. It was fairytale, fairies, adventure etc. Everything I want in a book xD

Though it still missed something. Sometimes I felt like it was to long without anything happening, and thats why I have decided to give it a 4 out of 6 stars :)

And I think this is a good book for young girls in the age of 13 and up.

Review: Evermore by Alyson Nöel

Evermore by Alyson Nöel

About the book:
Evermore is the first book in the Immortals series written by Alyson Nöel.
There are so far 5 books in the series. Which I probably will read all of them, since I got the 4 first books. The other books are called: Blue Moon, Shadowland, Dark Flame and Night Star.

ISBN13: 9780312532758
356 pages

Read: January 2011
Language: English

From Goodreads:
Since a horrible accident claimed the lives of her family, sixteen-year-old Ever can see auras, hear people’s thoughts, and know a person’s life story by touch. Going out of her way to shield herself from human contact to suppress her abilities has branded her as a freak at her new high school—but everything changes when she meets Damen Auguste…

Ever sees Damen and feels an instant recognition. He is gorgeous, exotic and wealthy, and he holds many secrets. Damen is able to make things appear and disappear, he always seems to know what she’s thinking—and he’s the only one who can silence the noise and the random energy in her head. She doesn’t know who he really is—or what he is. Damen equal parts light and darkness, and he belongs to an enchanted new world where no one ever dies.

The Story:
It´s about this teenage girl called Ever, who lives with her aunt. After both her parents, her sister and her dog died in a car accident. Where she was the only surviver.

But after the accident thing started to change. Before she was a popular cheerleader girl at her school. But know she is hiding away under her big hooded sweater.
Ever has got the ability to read other peoples aura, which make her capable to understand what people are thinking, by just looking at them. So mostly she just hide away and don´t look at people. Until one day when a new guy arrives at her school.
The weird thing is does not have an aura. So what is he or are there something wrong with Ever. Or is this boy actually dead.?
Since the only person Ever have meet who does not have an aura, is the ghost of her little sister. So what is going on?? And why do Ever even see the ghost of her sister.

My Opinion:
I had really big expectations for this book. So it didn´t really measure up.
I think it was to boring in the beginning. Not much happened. So I had to force myself to continue reading. I think there were one time in the book were I was like.. Wow whats happening I need to continue reading. And it only lasted for about 20-30 pages. And thats just not good enough for me.. I really wanted to like this book, since I have heard only amazing words about it.

The story is just to ordinary and to long, without anything special happening. Sorry.

My Conclusion:
I have only given this book a 2 out of 6 stars. I am really sorry. As I said I really wanted to love this book. But it just didn´t measure with my expectations.

But I must admit. I think maybe this book would be really good for young teenage girls in the age of 12-15, who wants to explore the new world of Fantasy. I think it might be a good debut to the fantasy world.
